2. Interoperability Showcase
The 2008 Interoperability Showcase will highlight the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) framework. IHE (www.ihe.net, www.ihe-j.org) is a global standards harmonization initiative, now in its tenth year that creates the framework for passing vital health information seamlessly—from application to application, system to system, and setting to setting—across multiple healthcare institutions. IHE brings together healthcare information technology stakeholders to implement standards for communicating patient information efficiently among clinicians and other healthcare providers.
Please join sponsors, various IHE committee of IHE in the educational theatre within the showcase to learn more about how this framework can benefit your implementation of an interoperable patient information exchange that includes various healthcare specialties such as Radiology, Cardiology, Laboratory, Patient Care Devices, and Infrastructure.

CPHIMS Exam
Take the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) Exam during HIMSS AsiaPac08!
A special administration of the CPHIMS exam will be administered during the conference. For more information on the CPHIMS program, download the CPHIMS Candidate Handbook available from www.himss.org/getcertified or by e-mailing certification@himss.org.
The Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) program is dedicated to enhancing and promoting the healthcare information and management systems profession by providing the premier credential in the industry. The CPHIMS program accomplishes this mission by establishing standards for professional practice; creating a fair, valid, and reliable examination process by which professionals can demonstrate their knowledge and skill; granting certification to those who meet the program’s standards; and communicating the value of the credential to consumers and other key constituencies.
